El Camino

Camila is a 4 year old from El Salvador. She drew "my family in El Salvador, my grandma's house, and my dad at work. Camila is a sweet kid, always smiling.

Keyri is a 9 year old from El Salvador. Traveling with her mother for 15 days, going to family/cousin. The oldest brother of three was killed at age 19 while he was in university. The other two brothers had to flee. That left Keyri's mother alone with Keyri who was too young to travel. The gang started pressing in and eyeing Keyri as a developing teen. The mother knew they had to flee. The mother was so relieved when the U.S. Border Patrol picked them up.
